In Remembrance

April 24, 2011

My Aunt Jean lost her battle with cancer this weekend. To the woman I’ve always shared a birthday with . . . the woman who always called me for my birthday and thought of me first even when it was her birthday first . . . the woman who taught me how to peel potatoes and make stuffed shells . . . the woman who is survived by a large and wonderful family who will miss her dearly . . . the woman who is my grandmother’s baby sister . . . she’s so much more than just words can explain, but she will be missed.

— We’ll be away for a few days . . . —
