Eco-books

January 9, 2010

the holiday season has put me behind on a few things, book-making being one of them. I’m trying to concentrate, currently, on more ‘green’ books- on using what I have, even if I don’t know I have it. That’s been my goal for awhile actually, trying to use all the paper I’ve managed to collect over the years- which is why I’m throwing random bright yellow, pastel purple, and light green papers into a lot of my books- just want to use what I have instead of buying more more more all the time. So, what that means is look forward to a lot of these in my shop in the coming months and a few other eco-friendly books in the future. I’m saving corrugated cardboard boxes and both plastic and paper bags (when I forget the re-usable ones in the car) for use as covers in books that are taking form in my head. I’m planning trips to the library to rescue discarded books to give them new lives. I’m ignoring color and my adversity to it and working on making my books rainbows of diversity simply because I can.

Wish me luck.

Hope to see you somewhere along the way.
