IMGP7650I knitted this easy throw for my grandmother for Christmas a month or so ago and I had some leftover yarn when all was said and done, and so I started working on these neckwarmer/cowls that I really really enjoy at this point. They turned out so much better than I could imagine, and I’m really happy with them. I have a feeling that I will be knitting cowls for the remainder of the winter as they are such a quick knit, and so nice and thick and comfy.  I’m currently working one one for myself that will be knit in the round, so there won’t be any need for closures, in this beautifully expensive Malabrino wool.  Well, I’m working on that between all the other gifts I’ve been busying myself with this season.

I must say, I’m pretty proud of myself.  I’ve spent about $300, give or take on Christmas this year and almost everyone is bought for already.  There are a few things we’ll have to splurge on, meaning games we’ll have to buy the kids, but aside from that, I think we’ve (I’ve) done well this season on keeping our finances out of the hole for one day out of the year.

Of course, they are listed at my etsy store.
